Human trafficking is a very real and very scary crime. It involves capturing and transporting human beings for the main purpose of exploitation. The kidnapped can be exploited in many ways, from sexual exploitation to forced labor to illicit adoptions. These people are part of a highly profitable enterprise. A single mother is seduced by a handsome man and decides to spend a weekend with him out of the country. A teenager is chosen by a model agency and leaves the country with other selected candidates. Children are kidnapped right in front of their parents. Immigrations and Customs Agent Kate Morozov (Mira Sorvino) has first-hand knowledge of the terror of human trafficking, and, with help from Agent Bill Meehan (Donald Sutherland), has dedicated her life to stopping it.
