Drew Lathum (Ben Affleck) is a wealthy young executive who is left to spend yet another Christmas alone. Determined to find someone or somewhere to camp out for the holidays, Drew decides to re-visit his childhood. This includes traveling to his old neighborhood and convincing the family that now resides in his old house to let him stay for Christmas. In turn for letting Drew stay, the family (James Gandolfini, Catherine O’Hara, Josh Zuckerman, and Christina Applegate) will be given $1 million. This offer is just too good to pass up, so the family agrees, not knowing what obnoxious little tricks and shenanigans they will have to endure from their new visitor.
