This zany comedy follows the young Benjamin Fiedler (Daryl Sabara) as he prepares for the extravagant bar mitzvah his parents are planning for him. The young man to be gets himself into a pickle when he cannot remember the Hebrew he is supposed to recite or its meaning. Benjamin’s father, Adam Fiedler (Jeremy Piven) puts a lot of pressure on Benjamin so he figures out a plan to invite his Grandfather (Garry Marshall) and Grandmother (Doris Roberts) to stay with the family for the weeks before the bar mitzvahs. The older couple irks his parents, but just may provide enough time for Benjamin to learn his Hebrew.
